Antique 9ct Gold Fancy Belcher Albert Chain

Crafted in 9ct Rose Gold, the chain is formed from beautifully faceted 6mm belcher links that catch the light wonderfully and give the gold an almost jewel-like sparkle. There are fabulous 7mm decorative bar links position along the chain, these are substantial, highly detailed links with deeply textured borders and pierced detailing through the sides. They break up the belcher chain beautifully and give the piece a wonderfully ornate Victorian feel.

The chain is finished with all the classic Albert fittings, including a 38mm T-bar, traditional swivel clasp and bolt ring. This gives plenty of versatility when styling the piece, whether worn with the T-bar prominently displayed at the front or used to suspend an antique fob, medal or pendant. The T-bar has the Makers Mark C.D.B. for Charles Daniel Broughton, a Birmingham Gold and Silver Manufacturer who was based in St Paul's Square.

At 24.8 grams, it also has a satisfying substance in the hand without becoming overly heavy around the neck. It measures 16 inches in length and is a wonderful example of a decorative British Albert Chain. It’s substantial, beautifully made, attributable to a Birmingham Manufacturer and has a link design you certainly don't see every day. It’s simply gorgeous!
